Dusk to Dawn

Sunrise

Morning Fog

Awesome Plantations

The fruits I told about

The dragon like log
The way I walked

It was a dusky day and I laid down my legs into the pool that I was sitting beside, enjoying the lovely warmth of the water; but suddenly felt so desperate and jumped into the water and started swimming. Was wondering at the way I was swimming. I’d rather put it as “I was wading backwards!!!”. It felt as if somebody was pulling my hand from behind. I was in fact, gasping as I dipped myself inside the pool often as the pool seemed to deepen at some places.  Fighting against water I just opened my eyes.

I see dad calling me from behind “Come on get up Vandu!! Come; let’s go for a morning walk”. Feeling a sudden relief from the suffocation that my dream had created; I told myself, “Let me do something useful today at least. Yes!! Come on…. Wake up…Bhashya!!!”.I woke up at last after some more time as dad’s voice was lulling in my ear.

I freshened up and was quite excited to wear the new jacket that my sis gifted me recently. My cousin, Geethu accompanied me along with Dad. As I started, I walked briskly and budged bragging about the way I walked. My sister started laughing as she knew I was kidding. But dad grunted “You are supposed to start your morning walk slowly and then pace up Vandu”. Geethu started giggling. I grinned at her :-/ . As we moved on, the way seemed so muted but very pleasant. There was a smooth transition from the dark blue sky to a brighter of its shade. We crossed several known houses all along.

The next moment, I remembered something and pulled out my cell phone off my pockets. I played some instrumental music which I often listened to. But listening to it now brought in a new energy in me. The music was perfectly in sync with whatever I saw!! The way the birds flew, the way the trees quivered, the way the electric wires swung, our feet movements, the way the little paddy plants hustled each other, every possible thing!!! :-).Dad loved the music too. He said “Wow! Whatta tune!!:)”.I felt happy. As I watched across, I saw that the morning fog was yet to uncover the paddy fields it hugged and slept along all night. Amidst all blue-green hues, a huge orange ball popped up slowly behind the coconut trees that were still in my observation window. It was the sun; brilliant, bright and big. It was beautiful to see all kinds of green shades underneath the husky orange color that the morning sun spread over the eastern sky. Appreciating the divine beauty, I rolled over my eyes and looked at the scaly pattern the clouds had spread across. It felt like a fisherman threw a huge net to catch the sun!!;-)

As we walked, Dad said “Hey! Look at that tree.” A very familiar tree stood besides us bearing lot of reddish small fruits. It was the same kind of tree which I played and sat below in my school days. We used to pluck all possible fruits we could reach for. We ate up the fruits to the extent that I never even new that they turn this red when they ripen! For now we could see so many ripened fruits fallen down on the wet grassy ground. I couldn’t control my excitement and started picking up all possible fruits it blessed us with. We washed them up near the tap that was fixed up in front of a near by temple. I savored the first fruit .As I sucked in the pulp, all my school memories struck up my mind at once!! The childish fights with my friends for the same fruits that were lying plenty right in front of me now.I put a handful into my pockets and started hopping and walking this time. I was now realizing that all the thudding of our footsteps was now fading away in the chaos the vehicles produced. I was a bit annoyed with the unnecessary honking which disturbed the natural tune that jingled in my ears.

For now, I could not believe that I had seen these many things just in less than an hour!! But something reminded me that it was time to return. It was my leg that started aching badly. Coincidentally Dad too turned about. I could clearly make out the transition from serene pleasant atmosphere to an abhorrent one. Several thoughts crossed my mind. “Can’t we have a life without vehicles?” “Why do we have to meddle with nature?” “How would it be if it drizzled now!!?”Geethu’s voice suddenly brought me back to the world. “What’s the time now Akka?” she snapped. I looked into my cell phone.”Its just 6 10 am!” I exclaimed. We turned back and started walking. But this time nothing was that delighting. I saw rose plantation that we missed out;I saw a dragon faced log too Then we went back home staring at the blunt road with vehicles :(.

The beauty of Nothingness 

This painting has got so many memories tagged to it. Firstly this is my 3rd water color painting and 1st painting which came out quite well: P. I saw a similar picture in the news paper and went mad over its beauty that I painted it on the same day. :) .This painting has not only taught me to improve my painting skills but has also showcased life in a different angle.Though there are oodles of difficulties in a desert, it seems so composed and beautiful. The radiant hues of it always attract people.

Secondly, my imagination while doing this painting hooks me up with a book that I read recently,” The Alchemist”. This is a wonderful book written by Paulo Coelho :).

Thirdly, this painting was displayed in my class: NOT AS AN APPRECIATION: D but as misconduct :D .It was the first day of 4th semester and I in my usual sense of pride got all my paintings to college. Was showing it to my friends during the break time and forgot to collect it from them. When the next class started, my two friends Shruti and Ranjni got caught to one of our lecturers when they were seeing my paintings. L.The fun part is some of them thought these were done by Ranjni J. And to my luck all my paintings were displayed in the class and this work of art received applaud too :P.

The Cutie Pie :)

I wonder this cutie pie was drawn by me.Let me share my (fictitious) story behind it.

Actually the thing is that,I met this girl at my uncle's house.I didn't have anything interesting. So, as usual I was searching for something that I can draw. Then I hear this girl's voice!!!!!!!!!!! "Hey come here...Can you please get me some thing to eat.I'm not able to open the fridge." I was awestruck to see this little beauty over fridge.Felt like she came just for me . You know, it was so rude of me... I just caught her there and told her not to open her mouth as wanted to draw her.as soon as I said this she brightened up!! .Totally opposite to what I imagined. And added to that she caught this kutty kitten like how I caught to her:P Not just that guys. She even went down and pluck these flowers that you see and starting posing. What a lovely sweetheart. She din't move an inch from then. I'm glad I could complete it that day....as she disappeared at once when I completed the drawing.I'm thinking of naming this cutie pie so that I can remember her forever. Can somebody suggest me something....... :)

Lord Ganesha

From the depth of my heart I'm seriously feeling so wierd;to start a blog to post my paintings.:P Anyways after all an artist(a little too much for me though) would always expect fame for her/his paintings right. So no worries.Since this is my fist blog post,(hope I won't sound too orthodox) I'm posting Lord Ganesha's Sketch that I actually copied from an invitation. It took me half an hour or less(not to sound too proud of myself). But, actually I'm always desperate to complete my drawings, that's what I meant. And I bet this is the easiest picture that anyone can get in hand. Now staring at dear Lord Ganesha only after I wrote this , I noticed something :P

Something is missing :P.Hope somebody can guess what it is....
